TOP 10 Things to do in NEW YORK CITY - NYC Travel Guide 2019

However Copenhagen itself is a beautiful city to visit at least once in your lifetime. Ahhh, the eternal city. Partly in Europe and partly in Asia, Istanbul is an exciting blend of cultures where East meets West. Prague has quickly become a popular spot for travellers from all over the world and one look explains why.

The capital of Tuscany is also the capital of gelato — more than enough reason to visit! Mass crowds descended on Rio for the World Cup in and as such it has quickly become a hot spot to visit. Be sure to venture elsewhere in the continent as South America truly has so much to offer.

St Petersburg is by far my favourite city in Russia. One visit here and you will soon understand why — as well as already be planning your return! After visiting all the tourist hot spots, be sure to venture off into the neighbourhoods to completely rediscover the city!

The croissants, crepes, baguettes… yes, this is Paris. You will be in love. Sure, it is busy and crazy and jampacked with tourists — but it is still the city where dreams are made — where anything is possible — where you can be anyone you wish. It is simply….. New York. NY, Paris and London- the best cities! Sadly, I think Budapest is off my list due to recent current events.

Great cities, as is Tel Aviv — fab vibe! These cities were most likely chosen because she fell in love with them for what ever reason.

Athens is one of the few ancient cities in the world where the cutting edge, the hip, and the modern can suddenly coexist so harmoniously with the classical , complementing each other to near perfection. You must visit Athens at least once in your lifetime!! NYC NY, thats pathetic and sad, by far it should be Tokyo Japan, way better, much cleaner, way more diversity in culture and the people are actually nice and not stuck up arrogant people.

Hong Village is at the foot of the Yellow Mountains and its very beautiful. Johannesburg better known as Joburg among South Africans. This is a bustling city with thee most friendly inhabitants. At night you can party all night in the sprawling suburbs. Go clubbing and dance your legs away in Mellville just a throw away from the city centre.

Oh and remember, for an African city, it is quite large, Joburg is the biggest city in the world not build to a river, sea or lake. It was my first trip ever abroad and it was quite brainstorming!!! It is really amazing. Expensive though, but definitely must be seen once in a lifetime!! I just came back from there last week and I think it tops my favorite cities so far!

Only 3 cities for the entirety of the Americas? Time to book a flight. Of course NYC!

Kotor, Montenegro

I also think that Beijing is a city you must visit once in your life. I also love Budapest and Ljulbjana in Slovenia. My favourite city is Budapest, but the most beautiful city is Prague, but there are to many people. New York is definitely always a favourite!! Would love to venture out to a few more of those beautiful European cities on this list! So glad Budapest is on there, I totally agree, SO underrated! I think you missed San Francisco though, so much interesting stuff there!! Awesome cities, have been to some and really loved them! It has areas with the charm and elegance of classic Europe, while other areas that are so modern, you barely find anything like that anywhere else!

I think Barcelona is the only city really missing — it is the perfect mixture of beach life, partying and culture. And i love Hong Kong too. Many travelers arrive in this modern city and pass right through , but Frankfurt is worth stopping for. Its Main Tower is the only high-rise open to the public and offers unbeatable views of the city skyline as well as its namesake, the Main River.

For the best of Frankfurt's traditional drink, apfelwein or ebbelwoi , cross the river into the Sachsenhausen neighborhood. Begun in , it is the biggest book fair in the world. Hamburg is the country's second largest city located in the North of Germany. Several waterways run through its center and Hamburg has more bridges than Amsterdam and Venice combined. It boasts one of the biggest harbors in the world and still embraces its gritty, sailor past.

This is most apparent in its red light district of the Reeperbahn.

The surrounding area of St. Pauli is also worth a visit. Spend time on the harbor with an early morning visit to the Fischmarkt fish market. This meeting place for locals and tourists alike was started in and sells the freshest fish, flowers, and spices with a side of live entertainment. Nearby Hafencity has been newly built up and offers the latest in shopping and dining. The soaring Cathedral of Cologne is the centerpiece with dual towers reaching meters into the sky and can be seen from all over the city. Located right next to the train station , it is the first things visitors see and they never take their eyes off it.

From here, walk through the old town and on the western shore of the Rhine River. Colorful 19th century houses and ice cream cafes are the background for an idyllic stroll. Cologne's art galleries and excellent museums mark every corner. After all that walking, Cologne provides the perfect refreshment. Served in endless rotation in small glasses, the people of Cologne rarely drink any other beer. If your preferred vice is chocolate, Cologne has the museum for you.

The Chocolate Museum covers the long history of turning coco beans into chocolate and finishes with the most delicious of fountains.

Coming right before Lent, the whole city goes a little nuts with city-wide parades, balls, and public spectacles. Just a short distance from Berlin , Dresden is called the " Florence of the Elbe".
